Volunteering & Ministries

Get Involved at Holy Name Church

Our aim is to fully engage all parishioners in parish life in accordance with their stewardship of God’s gifts.  Holy Name has many active ministries:

Lectors

In this Ministry, we are called to proclaim the Word of God… an awesome responsibility. This is much more than just “reading”… it is PROCLAIMING…. SPEAKING FOR THE LORD. As in any Ministry, we must be witnesses to our faith and always bring our very best to the task.

Eucharistic Ministry

As Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, we contribute to the Eucharistic Life of our church community by serving at Mass with reverence and thanksgiving.  Are you called to serve at the table and share this Wonderful Sacrament with your brothers and sisters?  This ministry will help you grow in holiness and lead others to the love of God.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s fraternal organization.  It was founded by Michael J. McGivney in 1882 at St. Mary’s Parish in  New Haven Connecticut.  Our guiding principles of Unity, Charity and Fraternity live on today supporting Catholic men in their faith, contributing our time and dollars to charity and most importantly protecting brothers and their families left behind with basic insurance programs.

Catholic Women’s League

Add your voice and support to a national sisterhood of Catholic women who promote awareness and respond to political and social issues that affect all Canadians.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is the unconditional caring response to meeting the spiritual needs of the lonely, the shut-in, the grieving, the imprisoned, the sick and the dying.

Pastoral Care volunteers bring Christ’s healing presence, peace and comfort through listening, praying and bringing of the Eucharist to those unable to attend Mass.

God has blessed each and everyone of us with talents.  Sharing these gifts builds God’s Family, and our community at Holy Name Church.  If you would like to share your talent, please fill out the form or contact Holy Name Church directly.
